Jared Knock

"As an Ag-Bio student, it's important to realize that most of the world's natural resources lie outside of the US, along with 96 percent of the consumers on Earth. In an increasingly open global market, we must look outside our borders for the benefit of everyone. A study abroad is an ideal way to make connections with people of another culture."

"In China, I was able to teach English and beef production courses, conduct research, and attend international conferences."

"I put my animal science major into practice. Most of the things I thought I knew didn't work in a different production system. When back in the states, Jared's busy with Block and Bridle, Little International, and Alpha Gamma Rho, reading literary classics and working on his family's farming operation. He's also a conversation partner with Chinese students at SDSU.
